1. 応募資格
日本成人先天性心疾患学会会員であり、8月31日時点で満40歳未満であること。
2. 対象
わが国の施設で行われる基礎・臨床研究で、募集を行う年の前年1月1日から12月31日までに論文として発表されたもの（筆頭著者は医師以外も含むが、日本成人先天性心疾患学会会員歴が2年以上なければならない）。オンライン掲載のある論文では、オンライン掲載日を発表日とみなす。募集を行う前年にEpub発表されている論文も可。選考対象雑誌は国内はもとより国際的な学術誌全般とする。他の学会のYIAを既に受賞または受賞の内定を受けている論文は除く。
3. 応募方法
学会事務局あてにYIA希望として、簡単な略歴と当該論文のPDFファイルを添付してメールで応募する（jsachd-post[at]as.bunken.co.jp [at]を @ に変えて下さい）。締め切りは8月末日必着までとする。
4. 選挙方法
YIAに応募があった論文につき、学術委員会内のYIA選考委員会において審査を行い、最優秀賞1名と優秀賞2名を決定する。YIAに選出する。選出された論文執筆者は学術集会において発表を行う。
5. 表彰
学術集会総会において、選考結果を発表し、最優秀賞と優秀賞の表彰と賞状の贈呈および奨励金の授与を行う。
6. 受賞講演
学術集会総会において、受賞講演を行う。(5分程度）
